scratching the itch
i wasn't being completely honest when i said there wasn't so much wildlife when i arrived in kinabatangan. we got out the bus to find our accommodation teeming with long tailed macaques. this raised my spirits somewhat, but i was still bummed out from the prognosis i'd received that morning. i didn't even get my camera out, assuming they'd be around the next day. they weren't, but as luck would have it the rain brought them out to the riverbank as they went hunting for crabs. well most of them were hunting, some had other itches which needed scratching.
