holy water
i took a boat to mabul island where i had intended to spend 3 days diving as much as possible. however that was before i injured my foot, since then i wasn't sure what would happen, and i was desperately hoping my foot would heal in time. it did not... but i had a cunning plan. it involved wrapping and taping my foot with various adhesive, waterproof dressings to prevent the dirty ocean water from infecting my open wound. i strapped myself up, and after my first dive i took it all off to assess the damage. it was a glorious failure. my foot was as wet as you'd expect from submerging it underwater for over forty minutes, however it also looked cleaner than it had in weeks, and i felt no pain neither during or after the dive. after weeks of hearing different opinions and advice from various doctors, pharmacists and a vet, it turns out i need not have worried. i had arrived at a mystical island surrounded by magical, healing water. so i spent as much time as i could in this panacean paradise, and emerged stronger, healthier and happier.
