the walls are closing in
this is a shot inside el anfiteatro which is part of quebrada de las conchas in salta, northern argentina. i took it towards the end of my time in the country, and it's a further reason why for a long time argentina was my favourite country on the continent. not only were the rock formations really cool, but the whole area stood out as being so different to the lake district in bariloche, the wine region of mendoza, the glaciers in patagonia, the beaches and coast in puerto madryn, the waterfalls in iguazu and of course the city of buenos aires. throw in awesome friendly people and the best steaks i've ever eaten, and you end up with a very special country.
