in the gaze of solemnity
here's another shot from the temple i visited outside of tainan city in taiwan. i think buddhist temples are more colourful than a lot of other places of worship, probably on par with hindu temples, so i debated for a while if i should convert this photo into black and white. but the sunlight which poked through the gaps in the building combined with the smoke from the incense to create such a perfect spotlight on the worshipers, so i felt like this made more of an impact in monochrome
