big brother - extra image
i was scrolling through my colleague's spotlfy playlist whilst i was working in miami and saw loads of bands that i'd never heard of. there was an artist called ibeyi which sounded cool and he recommended that i check them out. fast forward a week and i met up with the same colleague in brooklyn. we visited the rough trade record store only to discover that ibeyi were playing an impromptu acoustic performance. they sounded even cooler in person, and after they finished we walked down to the east river and watched a really cool sunset over manhattan. so, yeah, i thought brooklyn was pretty cool.
