chasing the tail - extra image
i returned from my madagascar adventure ten days ago however i've only just started looking through my photos due to the huge quantity of raw files i created in the three weeks i spent on the island. my usual workflow is to go through all the shots, shortlist the ones i like and then narrow that list down some more before i work on my favourites. my first shortlist consisted of 300 photos, but then i became impatient so just picked a handful to process a bit more. this shot seemed like a good place to start, after all lemurs were my main motivation for travelling to madagascar and this was the first occasion where i saw them up close. these weren't the biggest or rarest lemurs which i encountered, but they surely had the coolest tails.
