sole mio cantava mi - extra image
i fell into a routine while i spent 3 weeks on the thai island of koh pha ngan. i would have coffee and breakfast on my porch in the morning and usually spend the day working from my hammock. when it got to around 5pm i would change into my swimming gear and walk a few minutes to my local beach where i would lay in the water and watch the sun drop into the ocean. i was staying on the west side of the island so it was always a perfect location to witness this spectacle, and despite the potential monotony of doing the same thing every afternoon, i discovered that each sunset was completely unique. as such i would invariably bring my camera and constantly think that today's was the best so far, which goes someway to explain why all the thai photos i've posted have been taken from the same exact spot. i've already spoken about how my actual accommodation was far from ideal, but when mother nature puts on such a colourful show to close out each day, well you honestly can't complain
