as i said in my last post i came down to the same beach almost every afternoon over 3 weeks to watch the sunset, and almost everytime i would bring my camera along. as well as the magical colours which would be transforming in the sky, there was also objects of interest in the water, from boats to people to animals. as these objects moved horizontally across the water, and the sun slowly dipped vertically into the horizon, i became kind of obsessed with trying to get a shot where these two events would align. most evenings were unsuccessful in this regard, i learned that even apparently clear skies usually have some kind of cloud close to the horizon, so it wasn't that common to see the sun touch the water. even on those very rare occasions i'd find that the window when the sun was still just on the horizon incredibly short, and i would scan left and right only to forlornly see the floating objects mistime their alignment. so with all that context, i think you can imagine how i felt when i took this shot and my star finally aligned with a passing fishing boat

i took a few photos at this moment, scooching across in the water so that my angle had the boat directly in front of the setting sun, here's a little video of the shots
