ivybridge
the weekend before last i went down to plymouth to see some friends who've recently bought a house in a place called ivybridge. it's a great little village with a cracking curry house and a pub with a very good jukebox. there's also, as the name suggests, a bridge, under which a rather ferocious stream runs. on the way back from the pub i thought i'd take a picture. i couldn't really see much as it was so dark so i just balanced on the ground, pointed it in the right direction and set the shutter speed to the maximum (15 seconds). when i came to look at it on the computer it was a pretty accurate photo - almost completely black. i did manage to salvage a picture out of it by bringing it into photoshop, duplicating it twice and changing the blending mode of the top two layers to screen. i thought it looked pretty amazing - if only in comparison to the original
